The Square House EP is titled after the song that is meant to be both its pivotal centrepiece and explanatory statement. "Welcome To The Square House" is a long post-surf poem drenched in spring reverb and relentlessly banging on about the key themes explored in the band's current batch of songs. Throughout its three verses, it points a very post-punk finger at the inconsistencies and shortfalls of the modern age, while plunging the listener deep into the heart of the band's sound, inspired by sixties surf rock and the latest wave of British alternative rock.

However, the influences pervading the EP range wide : "Seventy-Eight Revolutions A Minute" borrows exotic chord progressions from sixties psychedelia, "The Moonlit Clown" blends noughties indie within 80's guitar work reminiscent of The Smiths, "Radio Please Kill" is a tribute to both The Shadows and The Strokes, and "Time And Again" stands as a reminder that romantic desperation and old Fender guitar tones are the most fertile grounds for a Bond soundtrack.

This EP serves as a taster of the band's upcoming debut album, which was written over two years of relentless gigging in London and its surroundings. Comprised of 14 songs and now fully fleshed out, the band sees The Square House EP as the first step towards its materialisation, and perhaps, who knows, global stardom.
